Safety and quality are essentially the same thing — safety is the short- term work that gets people home safely, and quality means getting it right the first time and keeping communities and environments safe over a project’s design life. Our commitment to our core value of caring is how we set ourselves apart in the industry to achieve this.
SAFETY AND QUALITY
At United Piping, we believe it is a moral obligation to provide each and every employee a safe place to work. Our quality culture is about more than just standards, specifications, and policies — it’s about each individual’s commitment to performing their best work at all times. UPI doesn’t view quality as a “check the box” kind of exercise. We purposely work towards identifying and implementing best practices through our culture. This means that we will evaluate constructibility when reviewing estimates instead of just crunching numbers, we will empower our employees at all levels to stop work or hold material that does not meet UPI quality standards, and we will invest in equipment, techniques, and opportunities to consistently improve our level of quality. We encourage our employees to maintain open loops of communication to ensure all opinions are vocalized and the best solutions are always put forward.
