Horizontal Directional Drilling (HDD) is an economical and environmentally-friendly method for the installation of pipelines underneath roads, highways, railroads, rivers, and wetlands. When trenching or excavating is not practical, UPI is able to provide the latest Horizontal Directional Drilling (HDD) specialized equipment, including drill rigs, which allows for the installation of the largest diameter pipelines in our industry. We have six of these specialized drills in our fleet. With our experience in intersect boring, we can drill in excess of 10,000 feet in one crossing length.
