Meet the Team Sammy King – Marketing Apprentice
Sammy has been with BBI for nearly a year and has been working hard in the background on our rebrand, new website, brochures, and campaigns.
What do you enjoy most about working with BBI Services? At BBI, I work with the whole team, from our CEO, to our consultants. This really benefits both my development and work. I learn a lot from talking to my colleagues, for example, picking up the language they use and then transferring this into my work What made you apply to be a Marketing Apprentice? Marketing was an option that really stood out to me. Understanding the different ways of engaging people and building brand awareness. What do you enjoy the most about marketing? It’s rewarding to see the impact it has, for example, when an email campaign results in several proposal opportunities for the company. I’ve recently started studying our Google Analytics. Looking into what pages are getting the most views, where the web traffic is coming from etc., and what we can do to drive more traffic to the website.
Do you think marketing is key for a company in Construction? As productivity levels in construction remain consistently below the UK average, I think it is very important that we aim to make more people in the industry aware of the services and guidance available. I can see BBI can help impact, project lead times, expenditure, wasted resources, and carbon footprint… and marketing is key to letting people know our capabilities.
Who is Sammy outside of work? I play netball 2/3 times a week, and love being part of the team. It’s very rewarding watching us grow together and become more confident when playing. I enjoy develop and pushing myself further each season. We are going on netball tour in May, and I can’t wait!
