Village Sports + Fitness

Both tennis and pickleball have become essential elements of the community's active lifestyle, supported by ongoing investments in facilities and programming that appeal to all ages and abilities. Pickleball has seen rapid growth in the community, with 14 newly renovated outdoor courts at the DeSoto Recreation Area, complete with lighting for night play and a staffed clubhouse offering equipment rentals and refreshments. The Hot Springs Village Pickleball Club, founded in 2013 and now boasting over 390 members, actively promotes the sport through open play, leagues, tournaments, and free weekly beginner lessons facilitated by experienced players. The community hosts major events, highlighting Hot Springs Village as a regional hotspot for pickleball competition and social engagement. The Coronado Tennis Center boasts 13 courts, including 10 clay and 3 hard surfaces, managed by a USPTA Elite Tennis Professional. It hosts a wide spectrum of activities such as leagues, tournaments, lessons, junior programs, and social events, supported by the Hot Springs Village Tennis Association with nearly 300 members. Players can participate in mixed, men’s, women’s doubles, and adult leagues throughout the year, with the facility featuring a clubhouse, pro shop, pavilion, and practice equipment to support a comprehensive tennis experience. Basketball is part of the active recreational offerings alongside tennis and pickleball. Basketball practice courts are located next to the new pickleball courts at 209 DeSoto Boulevard, near the DeSoto Club, providing convenient facilities for members to practice and play. In Hot Springs Village, miniature golf is a family-friendly recreational option located near the pickleball courts at the DeSoto Recreation Area. This well-maintained 18-hole course is nestled in a quiet, scenic spot where players can enjoy views of the full-sized golf course through the trees. Equipment rentals are typically available at the clubhouse, or visitors can bring their own putters and golf balls for an enjoyable round of mini-golf. The course is known for being peaceful and accessible, making it a perfect spot for casual play and family outings within the community.
