Calibrating your Camera The following steps may be performed to create a PixScan™ Camera Calibration profile:
1. Click on the PixScan™ Icon 2. Select the Camera Calibration section
3. Click on the Show Calibration Test Card option
4. Go to File > Print and print out the page
NOTE: It is okay if the entire page is not displayed or some of the dots are cut off
5. Take a picture of the printed calibration page from a bird’s-eye view, ensuring that the calibration dots fill the entire image
NOTE: For optimal results when photographing the calibration image, please ensure that:
· No zoom is used · Lighting is even · The photo is clear and crisp · The calibration image is resting on a flat surface · The camera is parallel and in line with the calibration image · Only the calibration dots are showing in the photo
6. Once you have your image saved on your computer, click on the plus (+) icon under the Camera Calibration section of the PixScan™ panel. 7. A window will pop up for you to navigate to and select your calibration image 8. Click on Open once your image is selected Your PixScan™ calibration is now set up for the camera in use. Again, this process is only necessary any time a new camera is in use. You may select a PixScan™ Camera Calibration profile for any previously calibrated camera at any time depending on which camera is used to capture your image.
