11.3 Using PixScan™ images Once you have your PixScan™ image loaded, you are ready to create or place your cut lines. Contour Cutting Please see Tracing (Section 6.14) for further information on creating cut lines to associate around your image. You may find it preferable to add a small Internal Offset (e.g. 0.2mm) after tracing in order to avoid white borders on traced PixScan™ images. Material Nesting If using a uniquely shaped material that has been scanned or photographed on the PixScan™ mat, you may use the Tracing feature (Section 6.14) to find the contour of the material. You may then use the Nesting feature (Section 6.11) to Set Selected Shape as Boundary and nest any images into the material’s border. This will allow for precise placement of images you are seeking to cut into the uniquely shaped material.
