Selecting the Stipple Tool When opting to stipple, you may either use a felt-tip type pen or a Silhouette Stippling & Embossing Tool. Whenever performing a stippling job, you will want to select the Stipple Tool for your material type under the Cut Settings panel.
To select the Stipple Tool, select your material type in the Cut Settings panel and then click on the tool type drop-down option. You can then scroll down to select the Stipple Tool. Once selected you will have two new tool setting options available. While the action of Stippling is generally an up\down action, the Stipple Size option here will allow you to create a larger stipple point by dropping the tool and having the stipple point created in a circular motion, thus making the stipple point larger. The default setting of 0.00 mm will simply have the stipple point created at the tool’s actual point diameter. When using the Stipple Tool to stipple metal surface, such as the Silhouette brand Metal Stippling Sheets, you may check the Increased Stipple Force box in order to create a harder punched stipple point.
