Baseball: Coach Pitch • GRADE 1 Coach Pitch is a transitional baseball program where coaches pitch to their own players to encourage good hitting skills and fielding positions are rotated often. This is designed for those CURRENTLY in first grade. Players improve their throwing, fielding, batting, base-running and experience teamwork and sportsmanship. Practices begin the week of May 11. Games will take place Thursday or Friday on assigned fields. Games start the week of May 28 and run until July 10. Two adult volunteer coaches are needed for each team. Coach Pitch is offered for children CURRENTLY in first grade. Maximum 12 players per team; once registered you will be contacted at a later date to select your practice day and location. Only one person per team should initially sign up. Once a Team is created, a Unique Code will be sent to the head coach to share with their players for them to register and sign waiver. This is designed for those CURRENTLY in second grade. Building on skills learned in first grade and adding a pitching machine to better prepare them for the next level, players improve their throwing, fielding, batting, base-running and experience teamwork and sportsmanship. Practices locations are listed below. Games will take place Thursday or Friday on assigned fields. Games start the week of May 28 and run until July 10. Two adult volunteer coaches are needed for each team.
