Everyone knows me, Isaac Newton as a brilliant 17 th century English scientist and mathematician. During my lifetime, I made major contributions in our advanced understanding of chemistry, physics and mathematics including discovering: * the chemical relationship between matter and energy, * the three laws of motion, * the law of gravity, * the full spectrum of optical light * the mathematical formulas for advanced calculus.

My father's name was also Isaac Newton. He was born August of 1606 in Lincolnshire, England. Like most members of his family, my father, Isaac Sr. was a prosperous farmer, who raised sheep on his Lincolnshire estate. He was also completely uneducated and my father could not even sign his own name.
My mother's maiden name Hannah Ayscough. She was born in 1623 in Market Overton, a village located in Rutland, England. Her father was James Ayscough, and her mother was Margery Blythe.

My mother, Hannah Ayscough, and my father, Isaac Newton Sr., were married in April 1642. During the brief time they were married, they raised sheep together on their Lincolnshire estate. It was also during this same time period that Hannah Newton became pregnant with her soon to be delivered first child, me, Isaac Newton.

Sadly, my father, Isaac Newton Sr. died in October of 1642 at the age 36, leaving his pregnant wife, Hannah to take care of their hundreds of sheep and their large Lincolnshire estate alone.

Due to the major stress of being pregnant and left alone to care for the major needs of her Lincolnshire estate, just a few months after her husband’s death, my mother Hannah prematurely gave birth to their only child, me, Isaac Newton, on Christmas Day, December 25 th of 1642. The moment of my birth, my mother, Hannah reportedly said that her newborn baby, Isaac was so small she could have fit he inside a teacup.

Barnabas Smith
In January of 1664, just after my third birthday, my mother met a wealthy clergyman named Barnabas Smith, a minister of a church in the nearby village of North Witham. Barnabas Smith told my mother he would marry her under one condition, he didn't want a stepson. My mother decided to marry Barnabas Smith and went to live with her new husband, leaving me, Isaac Newton, her only child to be raised in the care of my maternal grandparents, Margery and James Ayscough in Grantham.

This experience of being abandoned by my mother and not having the nurturing presence of a loving, caring father in my life left me emotionally scarred and likely played a role in shaping my solitary, untrusting nature. I also never found emotional loving support and attachment with my grandparents either. For nine years I lived with my grandparents in their home in Grantham totally separated from my mother until her new husband died.

When I was 12, my grandparents enrolled me at The King School in Grantham where I was boarded at the home of the local a 'pharmacist‘ because the daily walk from my grandparent’s home to school was too long.

I nitially, except for mathematics, I was totally bored and lacked interest in the subjects taught at my school. However, following a confrontation with a school bully one day outside at recess, my focus and direction in life was about to be totally transformed!
After sharing my story of being bullied outside at recess with Mr. Henry Stokes, the headmaster at The King's School, Mr. Stokes gave me his permission to spend time daily inside the school’s library sitting and reading books during recess. He also encouraged me to first do a thorough search throughout the school’s vast library of bookshelves to find a book that would interest me.
This was my first venture through the school’s vast storehouse of bookshelves filled with thousands of volumes of printed information. I walked back and forth intensely examining the printed titles on the binding of every displayed book. When I had finished my search, the title of only one book captivated my full attention. To my awe,I was now staring at the title on the cover of a book I had only heard about but never had the opportunity to open and read. It was the first English translation of the Christian Bible for the Church of England, which was commissioned in 1604 and published in 1611, by sponsorship of King James VI.

For the first time in my life, I opened the Bible. I clearly saw The First Book of Moses printed at the top of the first page. I proceeded to silently read the opening sentence of the Book of Genesis “In the beginning, God created the heavens and the Earth”, and immediately closed the book. With tears of immeasurable joy now streaming down my face, I pointed my right index finger up toward the library’s ceiling and cried out, “In the beginning, you, God, alone created everything!!” This was the moment that I had long awaited’ “I found my Father!" I cried aloud. "I found my Father!! I finally found my Father!!!”
From that moment at the age of 12 in time until he died at the age of 84 in 1724, Newton firmly believed that every word recorded in the Bible was true revelation from His Father God. The 31 verses recorded in Genesis Chapter One, the 6 days of Creation, were always in harmony with the testimony of true science.
Following the confrontation with the school bully, Newton started applying everything his Father God revealed to him as he read the Bible daily. This soon transformed me, Isaac Newton into a top student at King School.
