Fiber bed technology allows the mist to condense on the fibers of the filters and form micro-droplets. These micro-droplets grow until the liquid has condensed into a large enough droplet to drip off the filters and drain to the bottom of the plenum and reservoir areas. This keeps the filters from clogging and allows the system to operate for extremely long periods without maintenance. The key to keeping this system operating is air flow rates. By constantly measuring the air speed through the filters, the optional Variable Frequency Drive (VFD) keeps the air speed at peak efficiency for maximum air cleaning with the minimum power consumption.
