F ebruar donosi novu filmsku adap- taciju kultnog romana „Orkanski visovi“, jednog od najvažnijih dela engleske književnosti, koje još od 1847. godine fascinira čitaoce strašću, emoci- jama i mračnim pejzažima. Ovoga puta ekranizaciju potpisuje britanska rediteljka i scenaristkinja Emerald Fenel, a u glav- nim ulogama su Margo Robi kao Ketrin i Džejkob Elordi kao Hitklif. Premijera filma zakazana je za 13. febru- ar, savršeno tempirana pred Dan zalju- bljenih, što obećava poslasticu za ljubi- telje književnosti i filma. Ova verzija ne pokušava da ponovi prethodne ekraniza- cije, već unosi svežu viziju priče, sa na- glaskom na kompleksne odnose, emocio- nalnu divljinu i mračni šarm močvarnog, vetrovitog engleskog pejzaža. Za sve koji poznaju knjigu Emili Bronte, ovo je prilika da se podsete opsesivne lju- bavi Ketrin i Hitklifa i dramatične unu- trašnje oluje likova. Iako zadržava pre- poznatljive motive prethodnih verzija, Margo Robi unosi novu snagu i ranjivost u svoj lik, dajući priči savremen ton. F ebruary brings a new film adapta- tion of one of the most important works of English literature, iconic novel Wuthering Heights, which has fas- cinated readers since 1847 with its pas- sion, emotion and dark landscapes. The
latest adaptation is written and directed by British filmmaker Emerald Fennell and stars Margot Robbie as Catherine and Ja- cob Elordi as Heathcliff. The film’s release has been perfectly timed ahead of Valentine’s Day, with the premiere scheduled for 13 th February, and promis- es to be a real treat for lovers of both lit- erature and cinema. This version doesn’t attempt to replicate previous adaptations, but rather brings a fresh vision of the story, emphasising complex relationships, emo- tional wildness and the dark charm of the windy, marshy English landscape. For those familiar with Emily Brontë’s orig- inal novel, this is an opportunity to revisit Catherine and Heathcliff’s obsessive love and the characters’ dramatic inner turmoil. While retaining familiar themes from ear- lier versions, Margot Robbie brings new strength and vulnerability to her role, giv- ing the story a contemporary tone. For lovers of classic literature, as well as those curious to see how an old story can be re- interpreted on screen, the new Wuther- ing Heights promises an emotionally in- tense, visually striking and unforgettable cinematic experience.
