Concealing the entire face, it is held in place by clenching a button attached to the back of the mask between the teeth, which also prevents speech. upper part of the face and resembles a cat’s muzzle. It would be worn by gnaghe – men dressed in women’s clothing who would sing, dance and make either music or mayhem! Pantalone i Arlekino Ova maska je zasnovana na liku iz komedije del arte. Pantalone je lukav, star, dekadentan, bogat čovek koji traži novac ili zavodi lepe žene. PANTALONE & ARLECCHINO This mask is based on stock characters from the Commedia dell’arte. Pantalone is a cunning old miser and decadent merchant who seeks money or seduces beautiful women. With
his red costume, black cloak and hooked nose, he presents the character of Venetian merchants. Arlecchino is another character from the Commedia dell’arte. He is a harlequin, a jester, and a cunning servant. Kolombina Poznata i kao golubica, ona je Arlekinova draga. COLOMBINA Known also as the dove, Colombina is Arlecchino’s beloved. The Colombina mask comes in various forms, ranging from the extremely simple to those that are richly decorated with precious stones and feathers. It is the carnival’s most common mask worn by ladies.
