With the outbreak of the Corona crisis, many associations had to recalculate their approach. How has COVID-19 affected your community relationships with the organizations you are in contact with? Intel maintains strong partnerships with many community organizations, as well as on the national level. For every hour that a volunteer works, Intel donates $10, so there is a double donation mechanism at play here. There are organizations that can receive up to $10,000 and educational institutions up to $15,000. We realized that this strengthens our social power and is the “breathing room” for many organizations, so we worked to increase our volunteering and donate even more. We also launched an employee matching program and helped them donate to non-profits they personally connect personally. I am proud to say that we succeeded and last year we donated about 1.5 million NIS through our grant program, which is a significant amount for organizations that work with us. In my opinion, non-profit organizations are a significant component of the social resilience of Israeli society, and it is important that we as business corporations give them proper support and certainly in times of crisis like the one we are experiencing over the last two years.
