home. My family lived with the realities of a disabled father/ husband as we not only wit- nessed his daily physical pain, but the toll these limitations had on his mental health. Today there is a veteran’s group we choose to support in his honor. Homes For Our Troops builds and donates specially adapted, mortgage- free, custom homes nationwide to our most severely injured post – 911 Veterans. They have dedicated themselves to restoring some of the freedom and independence our Veter- ans sacrificed while defending our country. This enables our heroes to focus on their family, recovery and rebuilding their lives. Despite their life-altering injuries, many of these veter- ans; embark on new careers, complete college degrees, start families and embrace their roles as motivational speakers shar- ing their message of preserv- ing through tragedy, bringing awareness to Veteran suicide, homelessness and PTSD. On November 3rd 2017 we sponsored a Benefit/Awareness Dinner and fundraising kickoff with a $10,000 goal. One month later we are proudly 1/3 of the way there.
