InfoTrack is a legal technology provider that is driving innovation in digitising the home moving process. Starting out in a small office above a Co-op in a village in Surrey in July 2015, InfoTrack had a big vision for making the property transaction process easier and better for everyone involved. To make this happen, InfoTrack provides legal professionals that specialise in property transactions (conveyancers) with the best software at every step in the process. Transforming conveyancing through technology According to data from His Majesty’s Land Registry, there have been on average around one million property transactions a year in England and Wales, and property is the UK’s largest asset class worth hundreds of billions of pounds. However, the conveyancing process, used to transfer property ownership, has been largely unchanged for a century. That began to shift when InfoTrack started to make legal technology more accessible and began transforming the way conveyancing is conducted. Making home moving easier InfoTrack has been instrumental in forging new ideas and ways of approaching common pain points for law firms and home movers. Every step of the way, the vision has been to make the process easier, more secure and faster for all. The end-to-end approach starts with legal and financial checks on home buyers and sellers as well as gathering important information about the property from the home seller. InfoTrack’s Electronic Client Onboarding Solution (eCOS) enables firms to perform digital ID checks, conduct fraud checks, and gather detailed financial and property data that is crucial at the start of a transaction. Once a client is onboarded, InfoTrack helps the conveyancer create a digital contract pack and order the necessary local authority, property, and environmental searches. InfoTrack also enables management of the enquiries process online so solicitors on both sides of the transaction can exchange information and move the process forwards. Innovation at its core One of InfoTrack’s biggest innovations is software that enables a conveyancer to quickly and accurately create and personalise a ‘property report’ for the home buyer, outlining everything they need to know about the property before they make their final decision to buy. These reports automatically draw on HM Land Registry data and information contained in the searches. They also rely on a digital library of regulatory information and legal precedents that InfoTrack has built to ensure the advice the home buyer receives is always up to date. At the final stage of the process, InfoTrack pioneered software to enable firms to digitally lodge the forms with HM Land Registry that

initiates the ‘updating of the register’ and the official record of the transfer of ownership of the property. Since then, over 1.4 million register updates have been made using InfoTrack’s technology, and it has now become the standard approach across the industry.
