world” (John 16:33).' There is noth ing more clearly shown to us than “ that we must through much tribu lation enter into the kingdom of God” (Acts 14:22). But the Scripture is also perfectly plain in its teaching that the Church will not pass through the Great Tribulation of the end- time. The period known as the Great Tribulation is to be a visitation of God’s wrath upon a rebellious world. It is unthinkable that God will pour out His wrath upon those who by His Son have been delivered from the wrath to come. (Read Psa. 2, and 1 Thess. 1:9, 10.) Cain's Wife Where did Cain get his w ife? Here again arises this old, old question. This is due to the fact that the Bible’s purpose is not to give a complete history of any individual life, or nation, but rather to tell the story of redemption. Cain was the first son of Adam and Eve, and with out a doubt married one of his sis ters, or perhaps one further removed, as for instance, a niece. Genesis 5:3, states that Adam had other sons and daughters besides Abel and Seth. Doubtless to one of these Cain was married. Present-day Apostasy A re not the leaders in our denomi national churches largely responsible for the present-day apostasy? They are, indeed, and they have a long score to settle in the final check-up. The responsibility of lead ership is very great. Millennial Positions Please tell me your opinion of the millennial position of those who have fallen asleep in Jesus, and those who are alive at His coming? First Thessalonians 4:17 assures us concerning the dead in Christ and the living in Christ who are caught away at the Rapture that they shall “ ever be with the Lord.” This should quiet our hearts that wherever He is, they will be also. Turning to Revelation 5:8-10 the Church, repre sented by the four and twenty el ders, sings a song of praise to Him who has “made us unto our God

Judgment of the Nations Upon what grounds are the na tions to be judged at the second com ing of the Lord? The basis of that judgment is treatment accorded the Jewish rem nant; that is, the remnant of believ ing Jews who will have turned to Christ after the removal of the Church. The body of believers will be the evangelists of the great tribu lation. They will preach again the gospel of the kingdom. Individuals among the nations will be judged according to their treatment of these messengers of the kingdom, for that treatment, good or bad, will be an expression of faith or of unbelief and hatred toward the King Himself. Looking From Heaven to Earth Do our loved ones in heaven know what we are doing on the earth? Concerning this matter the Word of God does not state specifically, but my own conviction is that God veils the eyes of those who are with Him so that they cannot know what trans pires on the earth. It should be re membered that when one arrives in the presence of Christ everything takes on a different significance. The things that have concerned us on earth no longer worry us in heaven. When one is with Christ he sees everything from the vantage point of Christ. He more fully understands the plan and purpose of God — he sees clearly the end from the begin ning. We should remember that those who dwell in heaven are no longer bound by clocks, calendars or sched ules. The one in heaven realizes he has to wait for the consummation of all things, and he sees everything in its full sense. In God’s “ presence is fulness of joy; at His right hand there are pleasures for evermore.” The Great Tribulation Is there any scriptural evidence that the Church of Jesus Christ w ill pass through the period known as the great tribulation? Tribulation is the appointed por tion of the Church as it passes through this world. “ In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the

kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth.” From these and other Scriptures it is evident that the Church will be associated with her Lord in His millennial rule. “ Do ye not know that the saints shall judge the world? . . . Know ye not that we shall judge angels?” (1 Cor. •6:2,3). The Church as the bride of Christ will be Queen in the Kingdom when it is set up on the earth; and the Church as the body of Christ can hardly be thought of as separat ed from Him after He has taken her unto Himself without “ spot, or wrin kle, or any such thing” (Eph. 5:25- 33). Do Miracles Still Happen? I hear church people say frequent ly — “ the day of miracles is past.” What is your idea in this matter? When it is said that the days of miracles is past it is generally meant that we no longer live in the days when such spectacular miracles are performed as was the turning of wa ter into wine, etc. We do not now hear of men being raised from the dead. The healing of a sick man may be miraculous, but it is hardly in the class of Peter’s wife’s mother: the Scriptures declare “ she arose and ministered to her household.” Dur ing the time when the New Testa ment was being written, and until it was completed, spectacular gifts are recorded, though toward the end of the period referred to they grad ually disappeared. Now that the New Testament is completed God calls upon His people to walk by faith rather than by sight. You may say that James says: “ The prayer of faith shall save the sick,” but no one can pray the prayer of faith unless it be given him to pray. Some times it is God’s will to heal, and sometimes it is not. The proper atti tude of faith is to be submissive un der His hand, seeking His will as the very best thing for His child at all times.
