Cuba: Practical Missionary Training

W hen the “Q” airlines delivered a plane filled with students at the Havana airport this sum mer, thrilling missionary experiences began for a group of volunteers from B io l a and other Christian colleges. Under the auspices of Practical Missionary Train ing, Inc., the fifth annual summer session for pros pective missionaries was conducted with marked suc cess. With established field headquarters at Majagua, Camaguey, Cuba, the leaders of the training program put the students through the paces to- determine whether they have what it takes. In addition to the training benefits scores of pro fessions were made as a result of the witness given. The program this summer was under the leader ship of David Wittenberg, permanent resident of Cuba. Prof. Oran H. Smith of the missions depart ment of the Bible Institute of Los Angeles is the founder and general director of the training organi zation.
