HMRC publish two page printable version of starter checklist 5 April 2016
We are very pleased to announce that in addition to the online PAYE starter checklist, HMRC has now published a version that can be printed and completed manually.
There are 2 versions of the PAYE: starter checklist available to use:
Starter checklist (online version) This form is designed to be filled in on screen. You must answer all the questions except those marked ‘optional’. You can’t save the form but once you’ve completed it you’ll be able to print a copy and post it.
Starter checklist (printable version) This form is designed to be printed and filled in manually.
CIPP comment When we originally published news of the updated online version we were asked by many members if HMRC were going to publish a printable version and we fed this back to HMRC. The Policy Team is extremely pleased to see that HMRC has listened to the payroll profession and realised how useful employers and agents find this form in print format to obtain the required new starter data.
