Dear MAAG Americas Team:

I hope that you could enjoy relaxing holidays and a good start into the new year!

January is already in full swing, and we are looking at another busy year. As you may have heard from your team leaders, MAAG acquired the industrial dryer business from our main competitor Carter Day and will transition their large dryer production over to our facilities in Eagle Rock and Granby by the end of this year. In December we have also finished the 0Dover assessment and will start rolling out actions to implement “Driving Change” the first step on our operational excellence journey. The process improvements from 0Dover will help us with the transition of Carter Day’s large dryer business to Virginia and allow our facilities to absorb the additional volume. Going forward we will provide you with regular updates on the integration process as we are working on bringing additional value to our customers!

I wish you and all of us a successful 2025!

INTEGRATION NEWS

Dover and Maag Group are pleased to announce the acquisition of selected assets from Carter Day International's petrochemical division into our portfolio. These assets will be integrated into the Eagle Rock, VA location. This acquisition enhances Maag's pelletizing-system portfolio by adding specialized dewatering and drying equipment for the plastics industry, along with complementary high-volume dryer technology. While Carter Day was the originator of the centrifugal dryer, Buck Dudley, founder of Gala Industries, was the first to apply the centrifugal dryer into the petrochemical industry. Our legacy now uniquely gives us a stronger future. We all come together under the Corporate Value of Collective Entrepreneurial Spirit that will ensure success ahead.

George Benoit will serve as Integration Manager for this acquisition. He will keep us informed of progress forward.

Holiday Traditions

" Our Christmas tradition is a Big Family Breakfast on Christmas morning. This tradition started almost 80 years ago with my grandparents and my parents have kept it going. My brothers and I plan to continue. At around 7:00am we start helping my mom cook breakfast for 20-25 people. We set down eat, talk, laugh and remember what Christmas is really all about. We then gather around the Christmas tree and exchange gifts with the person whose name was drawn at Thanksgiving." - Morris O' Connor "My wife, kids and I go with my parents every year to the same tree farm I’ve been going to since I was a kid. We cut trees, go for a wagon ride, and go inside for some hot chocolate" - Joe Wilcox "Our tradition involves a special sweet bread called Rosca de Reyes. This bread is typically eaten in Mexico on January 6th to celebrate Three Kings Day (Día de Reyes). The bread is shaped like a ring and often decorated with dried fruit and sugar. Inside the Rosca de Reyes, there is a small plastic baby figurine hidden. Whoever finds the figurine in their slice must host a tamale party on February 2nd, which is known as Candlemas Day. This fun tradition brings families together, allowing them to share delicious food and celebrate the end of the holiday season." - Carlos Perez "Every year my family gathers together to decorate Christmas cutout cookies. When the kids were small, the goal was to make the most “professional” looking decorated cookies. Now that the kids are all grown up, the goal seems to have shifted to who can make the most outrageous designs. If you break a cookie while decorating it, the rule is that you have to eat it. There is always lots of laughter and good cheer." - Janet Groborchik "Our family always has Holiday T-shirts and usually go to the movies." - Mike Klimczak

Thank you all for sharing these wonderful traditions of the Holiday Season!
