PRODUCT Working with our upstream supply chain to ensure compliance and reduce impacts, increasing our inventory levels with leather produced in Leather Working Group certified tanneries, incorporating innovative plant-based tanning methods, increasing our certified collection of leathers, and exploring circular solutions for our internal sample waste. PEOPLE We support our most precious resource — our people — through an extensive onsite wellness program, community garden, walking paths throughout our conservation area, and generous health benefits. Together, we expand support beyond our walls through our Community Outreach Program, completing team-based community service projects throughout the year and an annual company-wide service day. PLANET Through internal waste reduction initiatives, onsite solar installation, shipping UPS carbon neutral and Fedex carbon offset, and converting several acres of land at our Virginia headquarters into a certified Conservation & Wildlife Habitat.
Sustainability Initiatives Since 1933, Moore & Giles has celebrated the inherent nature of leather as a sustainable material, and an example of conservation. Through recent years, in pursuit of a path to move beyond this shared story within the leather industry, we began mapping out our broader vision for the future.
