Interim Housing Services Manager – Queen Mary University of London In response to QMUL’s request, MRG was engaged to find an interim Housing Services Manager to oversee Queen Mary’s halls of residence, as well as various external providers offering private housing, homestays, and short-stay accommodation. Given the complex nature and importance of this position, we sought a candidate with exceptional organisational skills, the ability to work effectively under pressure, and a strong understanding of housing management systems. Our search focused on individuals with prior experience in dynamic housing environments, and we identified a candidate who had previously worked in a similar capacity within another university’s residence department. Within a few months of their appointment, the candidate’s exceptional performance led to their successful transition into a permanent role.

Interim Assistant Residential Operations Manager – Queen Mary University of London QMUL approached us once more for our assistance in a pressing recruitment matter. This time, our objective was to find an Assistant Residential Operations Manager to oversee the daily operations of the halls of residence. The role required a seasoned leader with experience in large, multi-site operations, team management, and student welfare. Within a week, we identified and presented three highly qualified candidates with strong backgrounds in student accommodation management. Each candidate demonstrated extensive experience, leadership skills, and an understanding of the unique demands of the role.
