Their family seedstock enterprise is located in the river hills of far southeastern Illinois near Golconda, IL, where their forage base is dominated by fescue. The Conley’s started with the Simmental breed in 1981 and have focused genetic selection on cattle that perform on fescue, have great disposition and phenotype, and add growth and performance without sacrificing calving ease and maternal traits.
