life of each believer, and it is the Holy Spirit who daily ministers to the believer’s spiritual life. This is one of the most im portant studies a believer can make. STUDY QUESTIONS 1. How do you know that the Holy Spirit is a Person? (John 14:26; Rom. 8:16; Eph. 4:30, etc.) Only personality can comfort, teach, guide, speak, love, etc. These things the Holy Spirit does according to the Bible. 2. At Pentecost the Holy Spirit came into a new relationship to the people of God because the atoning work of Christ had been completed. (John 16:7; Acts 1:4, 5, 8; 2:1-4.) 3. From then on the Holy Spirit be came the Divine Administrator of the Church and guided its development and actions (Acts 2:38; 4:8; 4:31; 6:3, 5; 13:- 1, 2, etc.). 4. Notice the three signs that attended the manifestation of the Holy Spirit. (Acts 2:1-4.) List these three signs on the black board. 5. What is the symbolic meaning of the sound of the mighty rushing wind? (v. 2). - Do you think this was a type of the intended power of the Holy Spirit in the believer’s life? 6. What is the symbolic meaning of the tongues like as of fire? (v.'3 ). Do you think this could symbolize the zeal and earnestness of the true believer? 7. What is the symbolism of the tongues? (v. 4.) Do you think that these representative tongues could be a proph ecy of the fact that people out of every nation, tribe and tongue are to come to Jesus Christ? (Rev. 5:9.) - 8. What part does the Holy Spirit have in giving us the Bible? (2 Peter 1:21; 2 Tim. 3:16; 1 Cor. 2:13.) 9. What part does the Holy Spirit have in the new birth of each believer? (John 3:5; Titus 3:5.) 10. What ministry of the Holy Spirit is taught in John 14:16, 17? 11. What ministry of the Holy Spirit is taught in John 14:26? 12. What ministry of the Holy Spirit is taught in Rom. 8:26, 27? 13. What ministry of the Holy Spirit is taught in Rom. 8:14-17? 14. How do we know that the Holy Spirit indwells every believer? (Rom. 8:- 9; 1 Cor. 6:19-20.) 15. What is the only source of the Christian’s power in living and witnessing for Christ? (Acts 1:8.) END.
