Women in Architecture The Women in Architecture group provides a forum for discussion regarding issues and concerns of women in architecture. The group strives to learn more about the achievements of other female architects, to become aware of the difficulties women have encountered in architectural practice, and to gain insight from their successes. Women Chemists Committee Women Chemists Committee was founded to promote the development of women in the chemical sciences. Events include professional and social opportunities that benefit female graduate students, faculty, staff, and undergraduates. Women in Aerospace Women In Aerospace (WIA) is a registered student organization whose goal is to promote and maintain women’s interests in the field of aerospace engineering. WIA also aims to provide a supportive resource for current and prospective female aerospace engineers and foster a sense of community for women in the aerospace engineering department.

Women in Engineering (WIE) Women in Engineering is a program dedicated to providing a welcoming and supportive environment for women students in the College of Engineering. The wide range of WIE programs include student recruiting, workshops and seminars, undergraduate advising, new student orientation, and a residential camp for high school girls. mentoring. WiCyS helps women interested in cybersecurity through tech talks, workshops, networking opportunities, research, conferences, and leadership opportunities. STEM-Fem Alliance The STEM-Fem Alliance seeks to empower underrepresented women majoring in the following disciplines for graduate studies: science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. It seeks to raise awareness of gender issues occurring within the STEM community and those that the STEM community affects, to foster collaboration among disciplines by encouraging interdisciplinary work, and to improve the visibility of women in the sciences. It also hopes to facilitate the transition from graduate school to academia, industry, government agencies, and other professions. The STEM-Fem Alliance will accomplish this mission through various initiatives, including: talks, professional development, mentorship from early-career professionals, networking sessions, and social events. While the STEM- Fem Alliance focuses on empowering underrepresented women in STEM fields, it also intends to act as a sister support group to other specialized RSOs, including Graduate Engineers Diversifying Illinois (GEDI), Women in Science (WIS), and The Society for Advancement of Hispanics/Chicanos and Native Americans in Science (SACNAS).
