A Good Hiding Place “Thy word have I hid in my heart, that I might not sin against thee” (Psa. 119:11). From this verse, it is seen tttfft tne best place to hide God’s Word is in the heart. Of course, this means that God’s Word will not only be read, but memorized. This is the way to hide God’s Word in the heart. The result will be as the verse says: God’s Word hidden in the heart, will keep us from sinning against the Lord. Take a piece of red construction paper, fold it in the middle, and cut out a nice heart. Now, take a black crayon and on the fold in the heart write “ G-O-D-’S W-O-R-D,” each letter below the other. The red heart will look like this.
under the “O” of “Gold.” In Luke 8:11, the Word is said to be “seed.” Write the word “Seed,” using the “D” in “WORD.” The heart will now look like this.

You can now see that by hiding God’s Word in your heart day by day, you will have the “ light,” some thing “sweeter than honey,” “bread” w h i c h truly satisfies, the "sword” which is the weapon that puts Satan to rout, spiritual “water” to cleanse our hearts, truths which are more precious than “gold,” a mirror which shows our true photograph, and “seed” which is sure to bring forth fruit. Let us begin today to hide God’s Word in our hearts. —Martha S. There are many symbols of God’s Word in the Bible and when God’s Word is hidden in the heart, one is very rich indeed. In Psalm 119:105, we read t h a t God’s Word is a “light.” Using a green colored crayon, write “Light” in the heart, allowing the “ G” in GOD’S WORD” to be the “G” in “Light.” God’s Word is also, “sweeter than honey” (Psa. 19:10). Write "Honey” in the heart below “Light,” using the “O” in “GOD’S” for the “O” in “Honey.” In the same way, write “Bread,” using the “D” in the word, “GOD’S.” God’s Word is called “bread” in John 6:31. Now write "Sword,” using the “S” in “GOD’S” for the “S” in “Sword.” God’s Word is called the “sword of the Spirit” in Ephesians 6:17. The Word is c a l l e d “water” in Ephesians 5:26. Write “Water” using the “W” in “WORD,” written under “S.” The Word is better than gold (Psa. 119:72). For the “O” in “Gold,” use the “O” in “WORD” writing it under “W.” The Word- is a mirror according to Jame§ 1:22, 25. Use the “R” of “WORD” for the first “R” of “Mirror”
