know what he was. reading about, so He sent an angel down to the preacher Philip, and told him to leave the city and go over in the country where this man was. Now what do you think Philip did when he received this message from God? He was having a good time there telling the people about Jesus, and to go to this man he would have to go all alone. Yes, he obeyed God, and went right away to the place where the angel had told Ijim to go. When Philip got to the place he saw a man riding along the road in his chariot, and the man was reading the Bible, in the part that told how Jesus was coming into the world to die for the sins of the people. When Philip saw the man he ran and came near to the chariot and asked him if he understood what he was reading and the man told him he did not, and then the man asked Philip to get up into the chariot and ride with him and tell him all about the Saviour he was reading about. My, how happy Philip was to do this, and so he told him gladly all about Jesus. As they were driving along they came to a place where there was water, and the man asked Philip if he could not be baptized right there.
there holding some meetings, and the people were listening to all the preacher said, for he was telling them about Jesus, and how he had come down here and died for their sins, and that he was alive again now up in heaven getting a place ready for everybody that loved Him, and would obey Him. To obey Jesus means to do the things He has told us to do in His word, the Bible. Some of the people who heard this great preacher, whose name was Philip, be lieved what He told them about Jesus, and they obeyed right away by giving their hearts to Jesus and were baptized. These people brought some of their folks who were sick and lame, and the preacher Philip prayed for them, and many of them were made well again, so there was great joy in this city when so many of the people believed on Jesus and were made very happy. Now we know that God can see everything that happens in all the world, and over in the country away from the city was a man riding along the country road in his chariot reading the Bible, but he did not understand what he was read ing, and God could see in his heart and knew He wanted to understand and
