THE K I N G ' S B U S I N E S S says in His word that we should be trained up in the right way while we are children, and if we are to be trained up in the right way, we must be trained up in the way the Bible teaches. When we walk in the dark we need a light to show us the way and we need the Bible to show us the way in this world be cause sin makes it dark. In our story today it tells us the Bible is a lamp unto our feet and a light to our path. Let us say our memory verse. Will a lamp gives us any light if we cover it up so the light cannot shine out on the path before us? No, the lamp must be held up so the light can shine on the path. The Bible can not be a light on our path if we just leave it closed and do not know what it says. So we are coming to Sunday School where we can hear the Bible stories that will help us to walk in right paths, and we will ask mother or brother or sister to read and tell us Bible stories, and when we learn how to read we will read them ourselves from the Bible. Closing Prayer: Dear Lord Jesus, we thank thee for the Bible, and help us to learn the beautiful stories that they may help us to walk in right paths.
862 found Jesus was not with them, and of course they began to look for him in the crowd, but he was not there. Then they traveled all the way back to the city, and where do you suppose they found the hoy Jesus? In the temple or church talking with the teachers of the Bible, and- He was. just having such a good time hearing these teachers talk and tell the stories in the Bible, and the teachers were asking Jesus some pretty hard questions in the Bible, and they were surprised to see that Jesus knew the Bible so well. You see Jesus knew it was the best book in the world, for He knew it was the word of God His heavenly Father, and He loved it so much and was so interested that He forgot all about going home, and his parents had to come after Him. Just as soon as Mary and Joseph spoke to Jesus and asked Him to come home with them He obeyed and went right along with them. You know Jesus came down here in this world to do the things that God His heavenly Father wanted Him to do, and so Jesus wanted to know every thing in the Bible, and He began when just a boy, and that is when everybody ought to begin to know the Bible.
