For Final Suggestions, Half Seek a Range of Ideas (usually more/better communications, and more activities)
Overall, 49% are unable to offer any further suggestions or ideas for the NPD. The rest (51% overall) most often offer: Improved management/administration (26%, usually better awareness of programs/events and facilities) Programs and events (24%, especially K-12 programs, followed by providing more high demand programs that usually fill fast, and more for adults) Parks and trails (18%, especially more trails and connectivity, better park maintenance) Buildings and facilities (18%, mostly indoor pool/aquatic) Location or access issues (16%, more facilities in south Naperville, more parking, easier access in general) Nature programs are among the top suggestions for youth and adults ages 18-59 (an opportunity to link to the NPDs efforts on this core value). Sports/athletics/fitness suggestions dominate for ages 5 and up, especially: Swimming, tennis, and many team sports for those aged 5 to 18 Fitness and exercise for adults in general and active older adults, followed by team sports (including pickleball) Ideas for active older adults also tend to include trips and outings, educational programs such as language and financial education classes, and game events.
