NPD Value
Residents have a generally good sense of the share of their property taxes that go to the NPD. One third (34%) correctly estimate that it represents 5% overall; another 13% are in the 2% to 8% range. On average, they estimate that 8.4% of their property taxes goes to the Naperville Park District (consistent with the average 8.3% estimate from 2017). This higher average is impacted by those who estimate the District’s share to be more than 10% overall. The average estimate is consistent across all subgroups and regions within the respondent sample.
