2022 Community Interest and Opinion Survey

NPD Value

When informed that the Park District represents 5% of residents’ property taxes, over three-quarters feel that it represents at least a good value relative to the parks, facilities, programs and services offered.  The 2022 survey asked this “value” question after testing potential facility improvements which would result in higher fees (asked of ½ of the respondents) or higher taxes (asked of the other half – see pp. 73-74).  The overall value ratings are generally consistent between the two “fee vs. tax” options, and likewise are consistent across regions and demographic subgroups.
