2022 Community Interest and Opinion Survey

Need/Interest in Indoor Facilities

From a list of indoor facilities, residents continue to express the highest demand for an indoor track, followed by fitness facilities and gym space.

Interest/Demand for an indoor track and gym courts is higher compared to 2017 levels, while slightly fewer now express a need for an indoor spray/splash park and/or gymnastics space. Residents aged 35-44 consistently express the strongest level of interest across most indoor amenities. Older adults join their interest in an indoor track, fitness facility, and an indoor warm water therapy pool.  Men tend to be more interested in gym courts and indoor turf, while women express higher interest in an open indoor pool.
