2022 Community Interest and Opinion Survey
Need/Interest in Indoor Facilities
From a list of indoor facilities, residents continue to express the highest demand for an indoor track, followed by fitness facilities and gym space.
Interest/Demand for an indoor track and gym courts is higher compared to 2017 levels, while slightly fewer now express a need for an indoor spray/splash park and/or gymnastics space. Residents aged 35-44 consistently express the strongest level of interest across most indoor amenities. Older adults join their interest in an indoor track, fitness facility, and an indoor warm water therapy pool. Men tend to be more interested in gym courts and indoor turf, while women express higher interest in an open indoor pool.
