Split Halves: Support/Oppose Potential Initiatives
In both the “higher fee” and “higher tax” options, residents in the SW tend to be most in favor of a new rec facility in their area. Households with children are more inclined to favor higher taxes (but not higher fees) for an indoor pool. Men are consistently most supportive of acquiring more open space for parks and recreation. Note that the oldest residents (ages 65+) who were asked about paying higher taxes for these improvements are opposed to all three (14%, vs. 9% overall).
