Appendix F

2022 Community Interest and Opinion Survey

Split Halves: Support/Oppose Potential Initiatives

In both the “higher fee” and “higher tax” options, residents in the SW tend to be most in favor of a new rec facility in their area. Households with children are more inclined to favor higher taxes (but not higher fees) for an indoor pool.  Men are consistently most supportive of acquiring more open space for parks and recreation.  Note that the oldest residents (ages 65+) who were asked about paying higher taxes for these improvements are opposed to all three (14%, vs. 9% overall).

Significant Differences: Top Support for NPD Initiative (split halves: “higher costs” vs. “higher taxes” )
