Miscellaneous Summary Ongoing revenue sources under the miscellaneous category include reimbursements from community organizations for events, reimbursement agreements for maintenance of the Riverwalk and Carillon, cell tower rental fees, and parking permits. In 2017, the Park District negotiated a lease agreement with Verizon to utilize the existing tower at Springbrook Golf Course which has the potential of yielding $1,577,173 in alternative revenue over a thirty (30) year period. Other sources that are one-time in nature include reimbursements for insurance claims and the sale of District assets such vehicles and equipment. Revenue within this area increased significantly in 2018 based on the sale of the District’s Planning Administration Building that was no longer needed once planning staff relocated to the main Administration Building. Miscellaneous Objectives • Continue to manage agreements with the City for the Riverwalk and Carillon. • Continue to aggressively negotiate cell tower rental lease agreements in conjunction with the District’s “Cell Site in the Parks administrative policy.”
