Planning Area 2 Area 2 is located in Northeast Naperville. The boundaries for Planning Area 2 include Park District boundaries on the north and east, Washington Street to the west, and the BNSF Railway to the south. Area 2 is 3.82 square miles in size. 2020 Census Population (Estimated): 8,515 Existing Open Space: 73.28 Acres

Area 2 consists of offices and a research corridor in the northern segment of the area and a large commercial corridor along Ogden Avenue. A portion of Downtown Naperville is included in this area offering retail and service uses to residents. There are several residential neighborhoods comprised of single family, townhomes, and multi-family uses. This area is easily accessible to I-88 and in close proximity to a Metra train stop (Naperville). The Forest Preserve District of DuPage County’s Danada Forest Preserve and Herrick Lake Forest Preserve are adjacent to the northern border and offer residents opportunities for additional open space.
