Recreation Programming Plan
The District is an organization that offers a multitude of diverse passive and active recreational opportunities. Age, interests, costs, locations and special needs are taken into consideration when planning programs. Given that fact, the organization is charged with not only communicating the recreational opportunities that are at th e community’s disposal, but also explaining how various programs and recreational opportunities benefit participants as part of its ongoing commitment to the community education for leisure process. The benefits of recreation and the organization’s philoso phy in providing services are highlig hted in the District’s core v alues, which are communicated to the public via the Park District’s website and in documents including this plan, the Strategic Plan, Master Plan, and Annual Report.
