Recreation Programming Plan

Purpose The purpose of the Program & Service Evaluation Procedure is to measure customer satisfaction with Naperville Park District programs, events and facilities. This process will provide a systematic procedure

for the ongoing evaluation of services throughout the year. Procedure for Conducting Program & Service Evaluations

Evaluations provide direct feedback from program and event participants and visitors to District facilities. Program and Facility Managers will coordinate the use of evaluations on the District’s website with the assistance of the Customer Service Division. To maintain consistency, template evaluation questions will be used. Custom evaluations may be developed for special programs, events or facilities, however, prior to use, the forms must be reviewed and approved by the Marketing and Recreation supervisors. In addition, questions may be added to the template evaluations by Program and Facility Managers in order to gather specific feedback. A copy of the template evaluation questions are included with this procedure. ACTIVE Net Registration Participants ACTIVE Net is the registration software utilized by the Naperville Park District. All participants who register for programs with the Park District do so through ACTIVE Net and in many cases an email address is stored in the database. For programs where registration is taken through ACTIVE Net, participant evaluation links will be distributed via email by the Customer Service Division at the conclusion of each season. The email will include a template message and a link to the on-line evaluation. Program and event participants will be asked to click on the link provided to complete the evaluation. Non-ACTIVE Net Registration Participants For programs, events and facilities where registration through the ACTIVE Net software is not available, email addresses may not exist. In these instances participants and facility visitors will have the opportunity to provide feedback by visiting the District’s website and completing an online evaluation. The evaluations can be found at the following link: https://www.napervilleparks.org/contactus The Customer Service Division will tabulate evaluation results at the completion of each program season and will provide a summary report to supervisors within the Recreation Department. Employee Performance Appraisals All full-time and part-time staff must be evaluated on an annual basis. It is the responsibility of each supervisor to devise a suitable tracking system for the appraisal of each staff member. The Human Resources Department will provide appraisal tools. A formal discussion and employee signature on the performance appraisal is not necessary for part-time staff unless an employee is being terminated or issues and concerns need to be discussed and resolved. Any negative feedback must be documented and placed in the employee file. Feedback received from Program & Service Evaluations will be considered during the employee performance appraisal process.
