Open Space Considerations/Recommendations • Overall, land available in this area meets current population and, because growth will be minimal, additional land should be acquired only if a unique opportunity arises and is consistent with land acquisition criteria. • While opportunities are few, the District should research and analyze parcels for acquisition (or lease) to increase Community Park acreage. • However, forest preserve properties in this area (Burlington Woods, Pioneer Park) assist with acreage service in this area. • Consider expanding the Park Meadow initiative at one of the basin sites within Fairway Commons Park or Bainbridge Greens.
