Planning Area 6 Area 6 is located in south-central Naperville and is bounded by Washington Street and the West Branch of the DuPage River to the west, 75th Street to the north, and Park District boundaries to the east and south. Area 6 is 4.52 square miles. 2020 Census Population (Estimated): 19,412 Existing Open Space: 413.81 Acres
Area 6 is predominantly residential subdivisions that include single family at a variety of densities as well as large estate parcels in the southern portion of the area with pockets of small commercial areas to serve those residents. The Forest Preserve District of DuPage County’s Greene Valley Forest Preserve borders the east of this planning area and the Forest Preserve District of Will County’s Whalon Lake borders the south, offering residents additional open space opportunities.
