Planning Area 7 Area 7 is located in southwest Naperville. The boundaries consist of Park District boundaries to the west and north, Naperville/Plainfield Road to the east, and 95th Street to the south. Area 7 is 5.44 square miles. 2020 Census Population (Estimated): 19,412 Existing Open Space: 230.80
Area 7 is considered a “newer” portion of Naperville, with large residential subdivisions developed within the last three decades. Most subdivisions are large single family residences, but this area also includes an age-restricted community and multifamily pockets. The northeast portion of this Planning Area is adjacent to the Forest Preserve District of DuPage County’s Springbrook Prairie, which serves as additional open space for residents in this area. This area is anchored by Naperville Crossings, a large commercial complex offering retail, restaurants, and entertainment.
