Agreements and Partnerships
The Park District explores continuously new opportunities to expand partnerships, please make note this list is not all inclusive but rather a solid representation of the existing partnerships and agreements that the Naperville Park District are engaged in. Please contact the Naperville Park District directly to learn about the details of any of the partnerships listed below: Naperville Community Unit School District 203 • Agreement for shared use of Knoch Park • Agreements for leased properties: Arrowhead, Huntington Estates, Prairie, Wil-O-Way, and Mill Street (renewed in 2012) • 1989 NNHS Athletic Field Agreement (shared use of athletic fields) • 1991 NCHS Auditorium Construction and Use Agreement (shared construction and usage) (renewed in 2018) • 2003 Co-op Gym Agreement at Beebe, Ranchview, and Riverwoods Schools • 2006 Cooperative (Co-Op) playground agreement for Mill Street, Kingsley Prairie, Ranchview, Beebe, and Scott School • 2004 Knoch Park Softball Agreement (ballfield improvements and shared use) • 2010 Agreement for shared use of Bill Young Athletic Fields (Formerly West Street Athletic Fields) • 2019 Agreements for shared use of Knoch Park improvements (Varsity Softball Field, Synthetic Turf Field, Pickleball Courts) • Informal agreements for use of school parking lots Indian Prairie School District 204 • 2003 Co-op Gym Agreement at Brookdale, Cowlishaw, and Patterson Schools • 2013 Agreement at Frontier Sports Complex combining previous agreements for shared use of facilities and pump station • Informal agreement/letter of understanding where the NPD schedules all outdoor athletic space at school sites where there is an adjoining NPD park; This includes all athletic field space that is on the school property at that location • Informal agreements for use of school parking lots City of Naperville • Agreements for leased properties (multiple parcels) • Participant in the Caroline Martin Mitchell Master Plan Process • Participation in Central Park Master Plan Process in 2008 • Intergovernmental agreement among the City of Naperville and the Naperville Park District regarding ownership, operation, maintenance, and financial responsibility for the Naperville Riverwalk (Maintenance Plan created in 2011) • City police will respond to calls for police services within the parks located within City boundaries (Note: not all parks are within City boundaries) • Agreement that allows Park District employees use of City’s fitness room • Emergency services disaster agency mutual aid – both agencies agree to share equipment and personnel during emergency situations • Agreement for a recreational path at Frontier Sports Complex • Memorandum of Understanding regarding easements on Land Cash dedicated properties • Shared parking agreement with Naperville Department Public Works building for Fort Hill Activity Center
