2023 Master Plan

Amenities Considerations/Recommendations • Implement the recommendations from the Golf Site Master Plan to improve Springbrook Golf Course. • Perform a study that reviews the feasibility of adding indoor recreational space. • Given the feedback from the Community Survey and depending on the feasibility study referenced above, review the potential to add indoor space with an aquatics component in Area 7 or 8 that can serve Naperville Districtwide. • With the inclusion of an age-restricted community in this area, consider more senior-oriented programming opportunities. • Consider adding a basketball court to an existing park to reach underserved neighborhoods. • Consider a playground at Springbrook Crossings or Brook Crossings to reach underserved neighborhoods. • If Community Park acreage is acquired, consider adding 60’/70’ baseball field (or fields). • Continue researching trail linkage opportunities as referenced in the Trails Master Plan or as proposals arise from residents or partnering agencies. • Consider maintenance and improvements for each park based on the Service Level Guidelines outlining park maintenance standards and the Design Guidelines. Open Space Summary Neighborhood Parks and Community Parks are intended to serve the planning area versus other park types, which are aimed to serve the entire community. With this reasoning, Neighborhood Parks and Community Parks acreage is reviewed for each planning area.
