My Master, lead me to Thy door; Pierce this now willing ear once more; My bonds are“freedom, let me stay With Thee to toil, endure, obey. Yes, ear and hand, and thought and will, Use all in Thy dear slav’ry still! Self’s weary liberties I cast Beneath Thy feet; there keep them fast. Tread them still down; and then I know, These hands shall with Thy gifts o’er- flow; And pierced ears shall hear the tone Which tells me Thou and I are one. —Handley C. G. Moule. Biola’s World-Wide Prayer Circle It is impossible to estimate how great a proportion of the blessing which has been enjoyed at the Institute is attribu table to the intercession of friends who have covenanted with God to give one hour a week to prayer for Biola. The graduating class of seventy members, sent forth in June, was in itself an an swer to prayer. These young people, with others who have studied at Biola, are now workihg in home churches, in missions, in itinerant evangelism, and in- many other forms of service in the Lord’s name; pray for them. Please pray also for the Institute’s “Mission to Migrants”—an effort put forth by two teams of men students to do evangelistic work among the esti mated million migrants in California. Personal prayer requests which mem bers of the Prayer Circle wish to send in will be welcomed by the Secretary, Miss Christina J. Braskamp, 558 So. Hope St., Los Angeles, Calif. My Best I want, in this short life of mine, As much as can be pressed Of service true to God arid man; Help me to do my best. I want among the Victor’s throng To have my name confessed; And hear Thee, Master, say at last, “Well done; you did' your best.” —Selected. world- for satisfaction. That Is prayer going out of feigned lips. . . . But in the case of the Lord Jesus, His inmost being was in full accord with the words of His mouth. . . . There was nothing unreal about Jesus. Oh, that we might be more like Him!—H. A. Ironside.

TWENTY-NINTH DAY The All-Inclusive Passion
“The love of God hath been poured out in our hearts through the Holy Spirit which was given unto us” (Rom. 5:5, R. V., margin). That marvelous tender passion—the love of God—heightless, depthless, shall flood our hearts. . . . Every phase of life will become a phase of love. Peace is love resting. Bible study is love reading its Lover’s letters. Prayer is love keeping tryst. Conflict with sin is love jealously fighting for its Lover. Hatred of sin is love shrinking from that whick separates from its Lover. Sympathy is love tenderly feeling. En thusiasm is love burning. Hope is love expecting. Patience is love waiting. Faithfulness is love standing fast. Hu mility is love taking its true place. Modesty is love keeping out of sight. Soul-winning is love pleading. —S. D. Gordon. “Why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say?” (Lk. 6:46). Christ’s .claim to Lordship will involve a divine disturbance. If He is conceded this Lordship, He will exercise it. His scepter will not be merely a symbol. His reign will Involve a disturbance In the whole course of life. But let me safe guard this statement by saying that His interference will be ever and only in our highest interests. His antagon ism is only to that which is sinful. His disturbances will be but the harbingers of joy unspeakable and full of glory. —J. Oswald Sanders. THIRTY-FIRST DAY My Glorious Victor “Paul, a bondservant of Jesus Christ, called to be an apostle, separated unto the gospel of God” (Rom. 1:1, R.V., margin). My glorious Victor, Prince divine, Clasp these surrendered hands In Thine; At length my will Is all Thine own, Glad vassal of a Saviour’s throne. THIRTIETH DAY Divine Disturbance
