PMK secures Starplan compliance

Co Tyrone-based PMK is delivering a phased inspection and testing programme across Starplan Furniture’s Northern Ireland locations to ensure compliance with BS 7671 (IET Wiring Regulations). Following strategic engagement with Starplan regarding its statutory obligations, PMK’s Compliance division developed and submitted a structured proposal outlining the implementation of a comprehensive electrical inspection and testing programme. It establishes a planned framework for periodic inspection and certification, supporting Starplan in maintaining regulatory compliance, operational resilience and the ongoing safety of staff, customers and assets across all locations. As part of the initial phase of the programme, PMK successfully completed a full Electrical Installation Condition Report (EICR) at its Portadown store. The inspection involved detailed verification and testing of the electrical installation in accordance with current regulatory standards, with all observations documented using the recognised EICR classification coding system. Planning is now underway to deliver phased inspection and testing across the remaining NI locations throughout 2026. www.pmkelectrical.com
