Contractors expand their reach
As we wrap up this magazine, the team is preparing to head down to Electex Limerick. We’re looking forward to catching up with everyone at the show, as well as at Ireland’s Electrical Awards on June 5 in Dublin. Best of luck to all competitors and watch out for the shortlist – you can find details on how to book your table inside (p19). Features include Fire & Security and Tools, while case studies in this edition include the Ruby Molly Hotel in Dublin’s historic Market District, a complex installation in a constrained urban environment, exceptionally delivered by Alfa Electrical and its sub-contractor partners. A notable trend across our news pages is investment in GB and elsewhere by both Ireland and Northern Ireland contractors. Good news on one hand, this focus on other markets also perhaps worryingly aligns with M&ECA member concerns of the need to pursue export markets due to a pipeline scarcity in Ireland.
