Co Tyrone-based NUGENT has been awarded new contracts with the Education Authority of Northern Ireland. The four-year contracts for mechanical and electrical maintenance and minor works cover the Mid Ulster and Derry & Strabane geographical areas. With a wealth of experience in delivering maintenance and minor works projects, NUGENT has built strong, long-standing relationships with clients across the region. The contractor said its proven track record, technical expertise and commitment to quality service position it strongly to successfully deliver these contracts over the coming four years. Education projects recently completed by the contractor include NRC’s Causeway Campus in Coleraine, Shimna Integrated College in Newcastle and St Ronan’s College in Lurgan, while ongoing works include the new £30m Strangford Integrated College and £72m Ballycastle Shared Education Campus. BYD HVE is now available from Kellihers Electrical and CT Electric in Ireland.
Rexel named BYD key distributor
Rexel Ireland, an electrical hardware distributor with 23 stores trading as Kellihers Electrical and CT Electric, has been appointed BYD’s distribution partner for Ireland. The BYD HVE range of solar and battery products for homes and businesses is available from its stores now, and eligible for SEAI Solar PV grants of up to €1,800. Combining a power-box and battery- box, the range is compatible with all Irish homes and can provide backup power during grid outages. BYD’s first integrated
home energy system, its battery is only 120mm wide. Damien Phillips, Country Manager for Rexel Energy Solutions, said, “BYD has been a partner of Rexel across Europe for many years, and we are delighted to introduce their range in Ireland.” Simplifying the job for installers, HVE is an integrated solution with all key parts from BYD. Little Electrical completes EUROSPAR install
Lurgan-based Little Electrical has delivered a full M&E design and installation package at Henderson Group’s EUROSPAR store on the Rathgael Road in Bangor. Lifting the site, improving the shopping experience and bringing fresh investment and jobs into the local community, M&E works for the project were managed by Little Electrical Contracts Manager Jamie Dykes. Completed in time for the shop opening, works included new incoming mains supply and external services, and relocation of the petrol pumps and canopy. A full strip out of the existing store was completed while the site remained operational, with the installation including power, lighting, a full production kitchen
