Dr. Gayla Lutts, Ed.D. CEO and Superintendent, Canadian Valley Technology Center
Dr. Lutts began her educational career as a high school Family and Consumer Sciences teacher because she had career tech teachers who positively impacted her life. In 1999, Dr. Lutts further ignited her passion for serving students and Oklahoma Career Tech at Canadian Valley Technology Center as the hospitality and retail services instructor. She joined CV Tech’s administration in 2009 after completing her master’s degree, committed to empowering and valuing CV Tech staff and students. Later in 2013, on the
eve of becoming the Campus Director, a tornado destroyed the El Reno campus. Dr. Lutts immediately took on the duties of a Campus Director, but also those of a project manager as she oversaw the rebuilding of the El Reno campus. Dr. Lutts was named the Deputy Superintendent of Canadian Valley Technology Center in January 2016. In July 2018, she completed her doctoral degree and officially became the first female Superintendent of Canadian Valley Technology Center. She is committed to life-long learning for herself and others. Because of her hard work and passion, she has received numerous awards as a teacher and administrator throughout her career – from “Teacher of the Year” to “Woman of the Year” and she was most recently named to the Journal Record, Power List; Most Influential Oklahomans for 2022.
