Holden Anderson at the Frozen Apple
nell met in Ithaca, N.Y., in 1944. Anderson played two full seasons with the Hawks, from 2011 to 2013, and the Frozen Apple will only be his seventh game with the Cornell Big Red. It will be a special day for the 21 year-old and his dad, Hawks’ head coach Shawn Anderson, who played in Madison Square Garden many times during his NHL career. On February 7, 1994,
while playing for the Washington Capitals, Shawn Anderson recorded an assist at Madison Square Garden in a 4-1 win against the Rangers. Shawn Anderson played 255 games in the NHL and !nished with 11 goals and 51 assists with Bu"alo, Québec, Philadelphia and Washington. His son racked up 65 points in the CCHL with the Hawks before joining the Big Red in Ithaca. “It will be something for sure that game,” said Shawn Anderson with a smile.
