Paris. It was a fantastic reward for the time, effort, and dedication that he had shown to rowing during his time at College. From a staffing perspective, we had several changes from 2022. At the start of the year we welcomed Nicole Billante and Neil Nicholson into the
House to take up mentoring roles. Both staff members brought their extensive experience from elsewhere within the school, and immediately provided fantastic support to our students in their mentor groups. At the end of Term 1, we farewelled Deputy Housemaster Emily Buckley,
who left on maternity leave for her first child. In her place, we were lucky to have Taryn Randall step in to take her mentor group, while Neil Nicholson took over as Deputy Housemaster for the rest of the year. I have appreciated their efforts in 2023, and their work to ensure that the transition was seamless for the boys. The end of the year again brought staffing changes, with Mrs Randall leaving us as her fixed-term position came to an end, and Ms Billante leaving following her appointment as Deputy Principal. Mr Nicholson will continue in his role as Deputy Housemaster, while we welcome Maude Turgeon-Leblanc into the House. Harper has been blessed with highly skilled and empathetic staff within the House, and I look forward to seeing this continue. Led by Nick Wilson and George Austin, the Head and Deputy Head of House, respectively, 2023 in Harper was a fantastic environment for all. The atmosphere in the House continues to be one of camaraderie and fun, and I look forward to seeing this continue with our incoming cohort.
