In skiing, Tim Tolerton raced in the U19 national points, Super G, Slalom x2, and Grand Slalom competitions at Mt Hutt during the season. He won both the Super G and Grand Slalom events. In swimming, Rylind Wheeler continued to have great success,
competing well in several competitions. In the South Island Long Course Swimming
Championships in Invercargill, Rylind competed in the 50m butterfly, 50m, 100m, and 200m breaststroke, 50m, 100m, and 200m freestyle, and the 200m and 400m individual medley. He set six personal-best times and won six gold and two silver medals. Rylind also spent a week in Hastings competing at the National Age Group Championships, where he won bronze medals in the 100m and 50m breaststroke. Henry and Louis Hiatt competed at the New Zealand Secondary Schools Triathlon in Wanaka. More than 300 athletes from 75 schools across the country took part. In the U16 individual race, Henry came home well inside the top half of the field, with
