CULTURE Senior Production – Peter Pan
A huge group of College students went to Neverland this year and it was a joyful adventure for all involved. Taking inspiration from the 2017 National Theatre (London) production of Peter Pan , the cast had a lot of fun with exaggerated characters and the sense of child-like wonder needed to believe in magic. The audience members were thoroughly entertained by incredible acting, endless energy, magical movement sequences, and a sense of ownership from the cast as
they had played a huge role in the development of their characters and the way in which the story was told. Special mentions must go to Head Prefect Ed Davidson for his portrayal of a wicked Captain Hook, Albie Roberts for his mischievous Tinkerbell, Zinzan Bondarenko- Leatua for his lovable dog, Nana, and the two wonderful Rangi Ruru Girls’ School students who joined the adventure – Lucy Ward (Wendy) and Lotte Giesen (Mrs Darling and Tiger Lily).
Special thanks must go to our exceptional Stage Manager, Thomas Moggie, and his trustworthy crew who really gave the production the extra sprinkle of fairy dust. Also, thanks to the wonderful Kerry Brockelbank for being our ship’s master and creator.
